The ASCCP Risk-Based Management Consensus Guidelines provide evidence-based recommendations for managing abnormal cervical cancer screening results and cancer precursors, including post-colposcopy and post-treatment scenarios. ASCCP is pleased to offer this app to streamline navigation of the ASCCP Risk-Based Management Consensus Guidelines for abnormal cervical cancer screening tests and cancer precursors. The guidelines articles, as published in the Journal of Lower Genital Tract Disease, as well as the comprehensive risk estimates, can be accessed through https://www.asccp.org/guidelines. These evidence-based management guidelines, initially developed in 2019, came together through a consensus process of 19 organizations. The updated management guidelines aim to: • Allow for a more complete and precise estimation of risk • Provide more appropriate intervention for high-risk individuals (detect and treat more precancer) • Recommend less intervention for low-risk individuals (decrease testing and treatment that won’t prevent cancer and may cause reproductive harm) • Allow for the future addition of new risk modifiers and screening and management technologies See https://www.asccp.org/UserGuide for tips on using the app.

Histo! helps you learn histology and test your knowledge. It is the favorite study aid of medical and dental students in histology courses at the University of Utah. The App currently contains 2179 identification slides, based on 547 photomicrographic images. It is organized into 19 Main Topics and 148 Subtopics. It does not require an internet connection. NAVIGATION •Three navigation menus are provided, one to choose among the Main Topics, a second to select Subtopics of the Main Topics, and a Search feature to find slides using 675 keywords. These meus allow you focus your study as broadly or narrowly as desired. •Once slides are displayed, a one-finger left or right swipe moves forward or backward by one slide, a two-finger swipe jumps 10 slides. LABELED SLIDE MODE •This mode presents 92 micrographs that cover the Main Topics. Important structural features are named, and short explanations are given. These micrographs provide an efficient way for anyone new to a topic to quickly learn the identifications and spatial relationships of the microanatomy that are key for identifying tissues and organs. •The labels can be turned on and off by tapping, allowing immediate self-testing while learning. LEARN, QUIZ, and TEST (LQT) MODES •These modes are based on 2087 questions and answers related to 455 micrographs. •In the Learn mode, each slide displays a question, the answer, and a short explanation. The slides are presented in a logical order that helps you learn the material. •In the Quiz mode, only the question is shown, and the order of presentation is randomized. You can tap to see the answer and explanation. A Quiz persists until the user deletes it. •In the Test mode, you tap to display the built-in keyboard to answer the question, then grade your response. Results for each Main Topic are shown when you have finished a Test. STRUCTURES AND ADDITIONAL FEATURES •Histo! addresses both microanatomy and functional histology. About 70% of the LQT slides ask for identification of structures, the remainder are related to other features of these structures, such as functions, molecular components, or diseases. •From the Main Topic menu, you choose whether to review structures or other features, or both. MARKING AND UNMARKING SLIDES •Slides in any mode may be marked for later review. This happens automatically when you miss a question in the Test mode, and by tapping a button in the Label, Learn, or Quiz modes. •Whenever you return to the Start screen, either during a session or later after exiting, you are offered the chance to review slides marked in any of the four modes. Buttons to review marked slides are also present on the Main and Subtopics menus. •Slides that have been marked can be unmarked during a review by scoring the question as completely correct in the Test mode or tapping a button in the Learn or Quiz modes. SHOWING SPECIFIC SLIDES •Identifiers for slides viewed in the Labeled, Learn or Quiz modes can be recorded and then distributed via electronic documents. Anyone importing these identifiers can view the slides in the Learn mode. •Students can ask for help with a structural or functional question related to a specific slide and instructors can present preselected examples to an individual or group.

ECG and ACLS Tutor will help you pass the American Heart Association Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) course. With regular use of this app you will maintain your cardiac resuscitation skills so that you will always be ready to serve as an effective leader of the 'code blue' team. ECG and ACLS Tutor includes four modules to improve your ability to identify the ECG rhythm and treat the patient. The first module, ECG Rhythm Primer, reviews the basics of identifying the cardiac rhythm in ECG lead II. It describes the waves, intervals, and a four step method to identify the rhythm. The second module, Rhythm Tutor, teaches and reinforces the organized four question approach to identification of electrocardiogram rhythms. When you think you have mastered identification of the rhythms in Rhythm Tutor, you should use the third module, Rhythm Challenge, to test yourself. The ECG modules present 80 different electrocardiogram wave forms as they sweep across the screen just like on a real ECG monitor. Recognition of EKG rhythms as the wave forms sweep across a monitor screen is a different skill than diagnosing cardiac rhythms on a static tracing. This app will improve your clinical skills more than reviewing with a book because you will learn to diagnose the EKG rhythms as they dynamically move across the screen. After you are comfortable identifying the cardiac rhythm, you can use ACLS module to practice the resuscitation of patients based on the latest ACLS guidelines. The ACLS module enables you to rehearse megacode management in a realistic screen-based simulator. The current version follows the updated 2024 AHA treatment guidelines. You must evaluate the patient and electrocardiogram rhythm, decide on the appropriate management, and serve as the team leader, guiding two assistants through the resuscitation including administration of electrical defibrillation and medications. There are 12 cardiac arrest case scenarios included. The first three cover ventricular fibrillation, the next two are for pulseless ventricular tachycardia, another covers asystole, and the remainder of the cases cover tachycardia algorithms. This app is for training purposes only. Do not assume a real patient will behave exactly the same as any of the simulated patients, however, with regular practice you will always be ready to run a full cardiac resuscitation. The icon for the app was made with Freepik from www.flaticon.com.

Subjective Visual Vertical turns your iPhone into a simple tool for checking how well a person can set a line to true vertical using sight alone — a quick way to screen for inner-ear (otolith) and balance differences. The app shows a line and uses the phone's motion sensors to know which way is truly vertical. The patient adjusts the line until it looks upright to them, and the app reports how far that is from true vertical, in degrees. TWO WAYS TO TEST • Bucket mode — fix the phone inside the base of a bucket with reusable putty, screen facing in. The patient holds the open rim to their face so the room is hidden, then turns the bucket until the line looks straight. • VR mode — drop the phone into a VR viewer or Google Cardboard. The line is shown to each eye in a split view. The patient turns the line with on-screen buttons or a Bluetooth remote and locks it in when it looks vertical. FLEXIBLE TESTING • Choose the right eye (OD), left eye (OS), both eyes (OU), or all in turn. • Run a single measurement or repeat each condition several times. • Set the trial length and the pause between trials. • Repeated trials are averaged automatically, with the standard deviation shown. CLEAR RESULTS • See the deviation in degrees for each eye, with a simple diagram of the perceived vs. true vertical. • Share the numbers as text, with no image attached. • In bucket mode you can record a photo or video of the trial with the true and perceived vertical lines drawn over it, and a date-and-time label. Media is saved to your own Photo Library. • Customisable line and background colours. • Right eye (OD) listed first, by convention. • Works with a Bluetooth remote so the line can be turned while the phone is sealed in a viewer. • Everything runs on the device. No account, no sign-in, no tracking. IMPORTANT This app is for educational purposes only and should not be used for clinical diagnosis or treatment decisions. It is not a medical device and has not been validated for clinical use. Always consult qualified healthcare professionals for medical advice.

This app is intended for obstetricians, midwives, and nurses who use electronic fetal monitoring (EFM) in laboring patients. In addition to interpreting fetal heart rate (FHR) tracings, health care professionals must communicate with each other about the tracings in a way that is understood by all parties, and decide what action to take. FHR 5-tier is based on the five-color system developed by Drs. Julian Parer and Tomoaki Ikeda. (AJOG July 2007) The intent of their system is to standardize management of different fetal heart rate tracings. The system divides all fetal heart rate tracings into one of five categories: Green (no acidemia, no intervention required), Blue, Yellow, Orange or Red (evidence of actual or impending fetal asphyxia, rapid delivery recommended). Each color has assigned to it a: a) risk of acidemia, b) risk of evolution to a more serious pattern and c) recommended action. The NICHD three-tier system of classifying fetal heart rate (FHR) tracings has been criticized for having too wide a range of tracings in “Category II”. Some researchers and clinicians believe that the five-tier color-coded system more effectively classifies EFM tracings. The five-tier system is being adopted by an increasing number of hospitals in the U.S. and in Japan. FHR 5-tier makes it easier to use the five-color system. Without the FHR 5-tier app, one must refer to a table with 134 possible combinations of variability, baseline, and decelerations. One must also either memorize or refer to the definitions for mild, moderate and severe decelerations, which are complex and sometimes confusing. When using the FHR 5-tier app it is not necessary to refer to any other table or chart. Variability and baseline, and the shape, nadir, and duration of decelerations are entered with buttons on the consecutive screens. The app calculates the severity of the deceleration and the color for each tracing. All aspects of the tracing are summarized on the colored results screen, so that the user can quickly communicate with others. Management recommendations as outlined by Parer and Ikeda are given. These include whether or not the obstetrician needs to be at the bedside; what other personnel should be available; and whether the patient should be moved to the operating room. In addition, conservative management techniques are listed where appropriate. Thus, for Blue, Yellow, and Orange tracings, the final results screen reminds the user to consider actions such as maternal position change, decreasing oxytocin, or amnioinfusion. As noted by Parer and Ikeda, the guidelines for management may need to be modified for institutions other then theirs, and may even change depending on time of day. The NICHD Category (I, II, III) is also given on the results screen. This application is intended as a reference tool for use only by licensed healthcare professionals. Much of the main content of this app focuses on prevention education and strategies to reduce the risks of certain illnesses or traumatic events. Standard medical assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and specific evacuation considerations for many traumatic, medical, and environmental illnesses routinely encountered while in the back country are also presented comprehensively. In addition, extensive content on subjective decision-making errors, first aid kit recommendations, patient assessment, medications and pain management, trip checklist functions, and cardiac arrest management are included. Many accidents in the back country can be avoided, and a main focus in this app is on prevention strategies. Significant content unique to this app is the inclusion of “trip checklists”. Checklists have been utilized for a long time in the aviation industry to prevent and react to critical situations, so that important steps are not missed. In this app, the checklists are intended to ritualize discussion of, and provide a framework for, the consideration of common subjective decision-making errors and heuristic factors before, during, and after a trip. Most accidents, or medical care that results in a worse outcome for the patient, will prove to be significantly attributable to these factors, rather than solely a failure of the acquisition or performance of the right skills and knowledge. This app is mainly geared to the person with little or no medical training, up to a person with a Wilderness EMT, but even people who routinely practice medicine may find useful information within the app regarding environmental illness, subjective decision-making errors, and checklist functions when venturing into the backcountry. Commonly accepted wilderness protocols normally considered outside the scope of non-physician or pre-hospital care providers are contained within. These treatments are the administration of epinephrine for anaphylaxis or asthma, administration of glucagon injection for patients with extremely low blood sugar, reduction of shoulder, patella, or finger dislocation, evaluation of the spine for injury, cessation of CPR, avalanche resuscitation, tourniquet conversion and wound management, which may be performed with direction from a programmatic physician advisor following training. 1. Functions well outside with offline capability. 2. Text size may be conveniently increased. 3. Links contained within take you to relevant content referenced, like medical information. 4. Real life case studies included to illustrate key points about different content.

Dr. Goniometer is a tool whereby physiatrists, orthopaedists and physiotherapists can measure the movement angles of their patient’s articulations and store all related data. It is the only tool supported scientifically by comparative studies on real cases, as mentioned hereunder. The tool enables the management of patient records, measurement of patient articulation angles and storage of all related information to build up historical data bases for each articulation and movement. Measurement is by photographing the articulation and identifying the pictures taken with three separate markers. Picture taking is supported with perpendicular reference to ground level, iPhone alignment identification and patient central position referencing. These data come from Medical Literature suggestions for completing this type of reliable measurement (Cf. for instance, Dunlevy C. et al. "Procedural considerations for photographic-based joint angle measurements", Physiother. Res. Int. 2005; 10(4): 190-200). Dr. Goniometer has been used in recent studies – the publication of which is currently under way – that have identified reliability and measurement errors comparable to those of professional measurement tools (such as the Universal Goniometer, Isokinetic Tools Goniometer and the like). The study "A new iPhone-based Goniometer (Dr. Goniometer): a Validation Study", in particular, reports that various measurements on several patients were made simultaneously with professional tools and Dr. Goniometer. Measurements with the latter were repeated by different physiatrists and physiotherapists and results indicate comparable measurement errors for the Dr. Goniometer and other tools. In addition to the above, further features are also available through in-app purchase to: - computer browse all Dr. Goniometer data (such as patient records, measurements, photos and the like) and print any patient articulation record; - backup all Dr. Goniometer data on the computer; - use a previously created back-up to restore all Dr. Goniometer data on any iPhone (as in the event of iPhone replacement or application re-installation, for instance). - export all measures in a Excel file through iTunes File Sharing, connecting your iphone and PC through the USB cable. All the above features are available with no additional computer software required, just a common Internet browser; any operating system is supported, whether Microsoft, Apple, or others. The iPhone and PC used must be on the same WiFi network for computer and Dr. Goniometer connection. Should no WiFi connection be available, if the iPhone is be connected to a mobile network and the PC to the Internet, the iPhone and computer connection will be based on the settings of the mobile network in use. Dr. Goniometer ensures constant measurement tool availability and access to patient data bases. New measurements can always be made at each patient visit, with no need for constant patient record updating as completed measurements are stored automatically on the iPhone or PC used and are retrievable whenever needed.

mnemonic, noun: a short rhyme, phrase, or other mental technique for making information easier to memorize [from Greek mnēmonikos, "relating to memory"]. Med Mnemonics is a unique learning tool with over 1900 of them. Mnemonics got me through medical school and the USLME steps. Wherever you are within the allied health professions - medical school, nursing school, NP school, PA school, residency, and beyond - you can improve your knowledge base in the short and long term with these key associative memory aids. Medical Mnemonics puts 1796 clever acronyms, rhymes, and memory tricks on your iPhone or iPod Touch, covering topics ranging from Anatomy and Biochemistry to Pharmacology and Surgery. The database is fully searchable and can be quickly filtered by discipline and by system. Create a Favorites list, and search and filter it similarly. The best mnemonics can be those you make yourself. Add your own mnemonics to the database, where they'll appear seamlessly alongside those which come with the program. Submit them instantaneously to the Medical Mnemonics server for review by an MD (that's me!) and inclusion in the next version. You can email any mnemonic to a colleague from within Medical Mnemonics. He or she can view it within the email or add it to their own copy of Medical Mnemonics with a single click. Updates will be free for life and will include new mnemonics submitted by users (that's you!) and added as we all continue learning together. Every mnemonic is physician-reviewed, but we're only human. If you find a mistake, email us; we will pay a $5 bounty per substantive mistake found to the first reporter of that mistake!

The app is highly customizable and useful in all medical specialties. Entries are securely kept in your iOS device and are not sent to any outside server, website or database. Reports are created and saved as a password protected PDF file (encrypted using AES-128) and a CSV (comma-separated values) file that is compressed to a ZIP file (which allows password protection and is encrypted using AES-256) to comply with HIPAA security requirements. The reports can then be emailed, accessed via iTunes and the Files app, sent using AirDrop, or copied to your iCloud Drive or DropBox. CSV files can be imported into a spreadsheet program. One should not rely on this app alone to keep track of their procedures and is advised to frequently backup the files created. Information on backing up and restoring your data is included in the app's Help/Instructions view. FEATURES • Keep a log of the procedures you have performed, assisted in, were 2nd assist in, observed, supervised, and/or interpreted for documentation purposes. • Document the patient's name, ID number, age, date performed, location, supervisor, diagnosis, complications and additional notes with the procedures performed. Also, one can take a photo with your device's camera or import a photo from your photos library from within the app, and include the photo in a record. • Option to select one or multiple diagnoses from a list of either custom diagnoses or ICD-10 diagnoses for any given procedure. • Select multiple procedures performed on a single patient. • Sort by date (ascending or descending), patient name, procedure name, medical specialty, and location/facility. • Capture supervisor's signature to attest that you performed or assisted in the procedure(s) and include the signature images in your reports. Either obtain the supervisor's signature attestation at the time you create the log entry, or save the entry without the signature and obtain the signature attestation at a later time. • Detailed help/instructions section. CUSTOMIZABLE • List of procedures, favorite diagnoses, and complications are easily customizable (you can add procedures/diagnoses/complications to or delete them from the lists). (ICD-10 diagnoses cannot be edited or deleted.) • Locations and Supervisor's names are saved and can be selected from a picker so you don't have to type them in again when adding another log entry. • Add up to four custom fields in addition to the default fields listed above in Features. REPORTS • Create reports in password protected PDF format and as a CSV file that is password protected in a ZIP format, as well as a password protected backup of your data, that can then be emailed, sent via AirDrop, sent to your iCloud Drive or Dropbox account, or downloaded using iTunes when your iOS device is connected to your computer. • Reports can be created for a specific date range, location/facility, and one can specify the primary, secondary and tertiary sort order of the PDF report. BACKUP • In addition to backing up to iCloud and/or iTunes, if you have a DropBox account, you can copy the password protected backup file and reports to DropBox from within the Procedure Log app. • You can also use the Files app to transfer files to your iCloud Drive, Dropbox account, or, if you have a Mac computer, use AirDrop to transfer it to your Mac computer. • You can also email the password protected backup file to yourself. SECURITY • App is password protected and all data is encrypted when you log off the app or the app is no longer the active app. • PDF and CSV reports are encrypted and password protected. • Retrieve your username and password if you have forgotten them; you must first answer several security questions in the "Create User" or the "Edit User" views.

The "Voice Meter Pro" app for the iPad, iPhone and iPod touch, is a simple, but effective app that helps children with autism spectrum disorders (ASD's), voice disorders, or any other child (or adult) monitor the volume of their own voice in a Fun and Engaging way. Children with Asperger’s and other ASD’s often have difficulties producing the appropriate voice volume in different settings. Some children on the autism spectrum speak too quietly. Others speak too loudly. Still others do not compensate adequately for the social milieu or ambient noise level. Understanding abstract concepts, such as the volume of one’s voice, can be difficult for children with ASD's. It’s well understood that adding a visual component to the otherwise abstract concept can often be very helpful for individuals with ASD. OK so how does the app work? Well….if a child is talking to quietly a blue background with a cartoon character struggling to hear is displayed. If a child is talking too loudly the background changes to red and the character puts it’s fingers in its ears. If the volume level is acceptable a green background with a smiling happy character is displayed. • The on screen “volume thermometer” dynamically displays the volume level as it changes. • There’s a "Sensitivity" slider so the adult can adjust the volume sensitivity to suit both the user and the environment. • There’s also a "Dampening" slider. This helps avoid the meter bouncing around in between words by introducing a slight delay before any movement is shown on the “volume" thermometer. • To give the user total control over the app the Upper and Lower limits of the "Green" (acceptable volume area) can now be adjusted by the user. • For convenience the app works in both portrait and landscape modes on all the iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad. • the iPhone version of the app has a switch to enable the iPhone to vibrate should the upper threshold level be exceeded for longer than 4 seconds. We want to make this app the very best it can be and to this end we have included a feedback form inside the app for users to submit any issues or suggestions as to how it can be improved. Why not download the app and give it a try?...... you might find it a very useful tool.
