Renaming an Xcode project is a job nobody enjoys. Xcode's own rename does part of it and leaves folders, schemes, file paths, entitlements and build settings behind. The shell one-liners going around will happily rewrite half your project and every word that merely looks like its name. Renamer does the whole job - and shows you the complete list before it writes anything. THREE STEPS, AND NOTHING IS WRITTEN UNTIL THE YOU SAY SO 1. Choose. Point Renamer at the folder holding your .xcodeproj or .xcworkspace. It reads the project and works out the current name for you. 2. Preview. Every proposed change, grouped by file, with a tick against each one. This is the whole point of the app. 3. Apply. A zip backup is taken first, every time. Then the ticked changes are written, and a report is saved into your project folder. COLOUR-CODED BY HOW MUCH YOU SHOULD TRUST IT • Safe: a whole-word match, or a file or folder rename. • Review: the name runs into another word here, or the match is in prose. Usually right, worth a glance. • Careful: bundle identifiers and entitlements. Left unticked, because a bundle identifier is permanent once an app has shipped. IT KNOWS WHAT A NAME LOOKS LIKE Renamer finds the spellings that follow from the name you type: the identifier form without spaces, the lowerCamelCase form your properties use, and the lowercased form in bundle identifiers. It will not touch a longer word that merely starts the same way - rename Pulse and PulseOximeter is flagged for review, never silently rewritten. a-Shell is a complete local terminal emulator, allowing to run most Unix commands on your iOS device. You can transfer files using scp and curl, edit them with vim and ed, process them using grep, awk and sed. You can work with git repositories using lg2.  Most commands are compiled for iOS native Arm64 format, making them fast and well integrated with the BSD Unix that powers iOS/iPadOS. a-Shell includes Python, Lua, Perl, JavaScript, C, C++ for programming and TeX (texlive 2025, with Tikz and LuaTeX) for text processing. There are also multiple network utilities: nslookup, ping, whois, ifconfig... Type help for help, help -l to get the full list of commands. a-Shell can be controlled from Shortcuts: run commands in order, process files in a-Shell, get the results as text or files, transfer files to other apps... a-shell uses iOS 13+ “multiple windows” ability, so you can run multiple shells at the same time, with different commands, in different directories. You can edit a file in one window with vim and process it in the other with python. Compile your C or C++ programs to webAssembly using clang or clang++, and execute the resulting binary.
