BACKGROUND: Built from the ground up in the rugged mountains of eastern Afghanistan, Tactical NAV (also known as TACNAV-X) was developed by a U.S. Army Field Artillery officer with the vision of crafting a low-cost and highly accurate mobile navigation platform tailored for the U.S. military. Tactical NAV’s journey began in the Pech and Korengal Valleys of Kunar Province, Afghanistan. U.S. Army Capt. Jonathan J. Springer, a Field Artilleryman serving as a Fire Support Officer with the 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault), embarked on the development of this tactical navigation platform immediately following the memorial services for Spc. Blair D. Thompson and Spc. Jared C. Plunk, who were killed in action on June 25, 2010. Despite initial rejections by the Department of Defense, Captain Springer remained steadfast in his mission to continue developing Tactical NAV — even to this day. His ultimate goals were (and still are) to make a positive difference for other soldiers and service members and to honor the men and women killed and wounded in battle. He used his life savings to fund and develop TACNAV-X, all with the ultimate hope of saving military lives, and helping his fellow service members in accomplishing their missions at home and abroad. Calculo de Rutas por Micros En un lapso no mayor a 10 segs. el usuario obtiene todas las opciones posibles que hay para transportarse en las rutas de micro ingresadas en la base de datos, las diferentes opciones muestran el tiempo de viaje, el nombre ó número de la ruta ó las rutas a tomar para llegar a destino y la ruta que seguirá la ruta escogida para llegar hasta su destino desde el origen que haya señalado, el origen será tomado de la información GPS del dispositivo. Al hacer click sobre las rutas de la opción deseada, aparecerá la fotografía de un micro de esa línea, para dar una información gráfica del como luce el micro que tiene que tomar, luego al hacer click en la opción “ver ruta” el usuario podrá ver la ruta que describirá la línea hasta el destino indicado. Los resultados están ordenados de tal manera que la opción con el menor tiempo de viaje aparezca primero. Rutas El usuario introduce la ruta a buscar al hacer click sobre el resultado aparecerá la fotografía de un micro de la ruta, y 2 opciones, “Ver Ruta” y “Puntos de Interes” , en “ver ruta” aparecerá la ruta georeferenciada del micro en cuestión sobre un plano de la ciudad de santa cruz, en “puntos de interés” aparecerá los puntos mas importantes sobre la ruta en cuestión con los tiempos de viaje de punto a punto, para darle una idea al usuario del tiempo aproximado de viaje de punto a punto. Algunos puntos de interés tienen las coordenadas conectadas a la ubicación georeferenciada de estos y cuando el usuario le da click a estos puntos le aparece la ubicación de este punto referenciada en el plano de santa cruz, asi mismo le pregunta el como llegar a este punto, si por taxi o por bus, cuando el usuario da click en alguna de estas opciones, la aplicación enlaza esto con los modulos “calcular ruta en micros” o “Taxi” según sea la opción indicada. Taxi En este modulo el usuario es presentado el mismo plano de calcular ruta de micros, mostrando la ubicación georeferenciada de la ubicación actual por medio del GPS, el usuario escoge el destino deseado, la aplicación trazará la ruta mas directa al lugar indicado, y presentará la opción “tarifas y móviles” al hacer click sobre esta opción tenemos un cuadro que nos muestra la distancia hacia el lugar, el tiempo aproximado de viaje y la tarifa aproximada que cobrará el móvil por el servicio. Paradas Si el usuario está dentro de zona central le indicará la ubicación de las paradas a 400 metros alrededor de su ubicación georeferenciada. Al hacer click en una de las paradas aparecerá las líneas cercanas a esta ubicación, asi el usuario podrá ver donde tomar la línea deseada de esa parada, ver la fotografía del tipo de micro, la ruta del mismo y los puntos de interés de esa línea, pudiendo realizar las mismas acciones que son permitidas en el modulo “Rutas” Al hacer click en “Puntos de Interes” entra a una búsqueda simple, en la que puede buscarse por letras que estén incluidas en los puntos de interés o simplemente darle click en buscar para que aparezcan todos los puntos de interés. Puntos de Interes En este modulo el usuario puede buscar puntos de interés clasificados por categorías, y podrá tener acceso a información pormenorizada de los lugares allí indicados, del mismo modo enlazará con el modulo Paradas, en su sección “puntos de interés” para poder acceder a esos puntos de interés ya sea por taxi o bus, enlazando esto con los modulos “Taxi” y “calcular ruta por micro”

Pro Altimeter uses the high-fidelity barometric pressure sensor in the Apple Watch to measure and compute altitude. Although this is a Watch app, it has the same features, capabilities, and accuracy as the Pro Altimeter app for iPhone and iPad, just in a smaller form factor on your wrist! Pro Altimeter has a dead simple interface. Barometric altitude and GPS altitude are displayed in large easy to read numbers, with available units of feet or meters, and realtime accuracy estimates from the hardware. At bottom are calibration and settings buttons. The display offers highly-readable color schemes of luminescent green on black, white on black, and midnight red on black. Proper calibration is necessary to measure altitude from barometric pressure (this is why a pilot "dials in" the cockpit altimeter before taking off).
